Description
Noreen and her mum Doreen were hit by cars on Boundary Road, Whites Hill, twice in nine days. Although after the first strike, both were released a distance away, koalas continue to follow the same route to their home ranges. Unfortunately the next time, Doreen didn’t survive. Noreen was found crying, clinging onto a nearby tree. Doreen stayed close to Noreen for as long as possible showing a mother’s love until the end. Locals continue to fight for greater protection of Whites Hill koalas as a tribute to Doreen.
